Elizabeth Masen
Fernande Olivier (1881-1966), French artist and model. Modeled for Pablo Picasso, who painted over 60 portraits of her. He also modeled “Head of a Woman” (1909) on her.
Olivier and Picasso met in 1904 and had a 7 yr long love affair filled with jealousy, passion and sometimes violence.
Most interestingly Olivier was Picasso’s only mistress to know him before fame. She tried to sell a memoir of their life together but Picasso protested it, hiring lawyers to prevent publication. Olivier received a small pension from Picasso to let her live comfortably and she vowed in return, to never publish anything again about their relationship as long as either of them lived.
Not too sure why
I reblogged this…it just seemed too good….
Princesses Celestia and Luna are having some fun with Shakespearean quotes. Celestia is quoting from “Hamlet” while gazing upon Discord’s skull. If you are familiar with the play it may be more amusing, just maybe.
